Outer Space Studios Terms and Conditions
Successful applicants will be required to enter into a contractual agreement with Outer Space. This agreement details all aspects of developing work through Outer Space, including but not limited to: media requirements, public program obligations, practical installation, deinstallation and program attendance requirements.
Outer Space reserves the right to terminate any studio residency should applicants be in breach of this agreement or unable to meet the expectations of the program.
Applicants must be 18 years or above.
All applicants will be assessed by a panel consisting of members from Outer Space’s management committee
Selection of applicants is at the sole discretion of Outer Space.

Artists must have their own insurance for theft and public liability.
The artist is allowed to set their own hours of operation ensuring that their use of the space does not disrupt other studio artists and minimises inconvenience to and complaints from neighbours to the premises.
The artist is aware that the building may be occupied by others during the term of their lease.
The artist will ensure that shared spaces are kept tidy, thoroughfares are clear and no lasting damage from their activities effects the facilities.
If any damage occurs to shared facilities at the hands of the artist they will bear the entire financial cost of repairs.
It is the responsibility of the resident to restore the space to its original condition at the end of their tenancy.
The space is to be used solely for the purposes of art production. Artists are expected to be self-motivated and pursue rigorous studio practices.
Artists must occupy the studio a minimum of twelve hours per week, or as otherwise agreed, for the duration of the residency.
Artists are expected to supply their own materials and must cover the costs of facilities, travel and living expenses, as well as production costs during their tenancy.
