Essential Admin for Artists Day

Being an artist or facilitator requires more than creative skills. We've got you covered! Join us on Sunday 25th August for day of administrative workshops facilitated by Outer Space Management Committee extraordinaires, Katherine Dionysius, Amy-Clare McCarthy and Sara Laborde.

Session Times:

10-11 Preparing Artist CVs and Exhibition Proposals with Katherine Dionysius

1:30-3:00 Basic Accounting (it's tax time!) with Sara Laborde

Katherine Dionysius is a curator, writer and editor, who currently works as Assistant Curator at QUT Art Museum. From 2013 to 2018, she coordinated projects for 89plus, an international, curatorial research project co-curated by Simon Castets and Hans Ulrich Obrist. Katherine serves on the board at Outer Space, and she previously co-directed the art collective, Current Projects.

Amy-Clare McCarthy is a curator, she is currently Gallery Manager at Milani Gallery. Previously she was the Exhibition Curator at Metro Arts, and served as the inaugural chair of the board of Outer Space. As an individual and while working for institutions and artists, Amy-Clare has written successful grants for Brisbane City Council, Arts Queensland, Queensland government and the Australia Council. She has also been a peer assessor for the Australia Council. She looks forward to sharing grant writing pointers.

Sara Laborde joined the Outer Space team as treasurer in early 2019.

All sessions are free and everyone is welcome to attend.
