Fertile Void

Juniper Errey
28 October - 2 December, 2025

Fertile Void explores the interplay between time, experience, and architectural form. The piece begins with the fertile void, a glowing circle symbolising the process of reflection after completion. Gently rising and falling lines trace the stages of experience, always returning to the void. Using outlined sand as a soft, fluid medium, the piece evokes the passage of time and the impermanence of material forms.

Filmed and layered with glowing, misty effects, the patterns transform the Judith Wright Arts Centre into an imagined landscape, where architectural motifs and symbols become spaces for contemplation. The building appears alive, its surfaces suggesting histories both real and imagined.
