Beginning with a residency in Lucban, Philippines, this project develops a large-scale installation inspired by the Pahiyas Festival. Through community collaboration and traditional kiping-making, the work explores intergenerational knowledge, ritual, and material culture, creating an immersive environment reflecting the fragility and resilience of cultural memory.

Jessica Dorizac (she/her) is an emerging artist, born in Brisbane, Australia, whose work is currently informed by the language of ornament and design, and attempts to navigate the multiplicities of place, identity and history, rooted in her own biracial experiences. Her practice engages with the complexities of cultural identity through reframing cultural goods.

Dorizac is currently living and working in between Australia and the Philippines.
